Shri Manzoor Ahmad Ganie S/o Shri Ghulam Mohammad Ganie was born on 05th March 1974 in Kanihama, District- Badgam, J&K. He learned the skill of Kani Shawl weaving from Shri Bashir Ahmad Lone. He has been weaving Kani shawls for the last 15 years. He received the National Award for excellence in "Kani Shawl” weaving. The shawl you are looking at is the one for which he was awarded.
